Why Fancy Pants Mom?

You may be wondering why I chose to name my blog Fancy Pants Mom.  Well… after having my son I felt the need to really continue to be myself and not get lost in being “just” a mom.  I always made an effort to have my hair done, make up on, and cute outfits before I was a mom, so it was important to me to continue doing so after my son was born.  I’m not going to lie, getting ready for the day is a lot harder than it used to be, hence, the blog on tips and tricks to hold it together in the easiest way possible.

My husband would always tease me about my possibly over-zealous effort to look glamorous! He was constantly telling me that I was so “fancy” because of my make – up, hair, and accessories. I can assure you that there wasn’t anything overly fancy about it. But following my father in law’s assessment of being “so dressed up” and “fancy” for a night at food trucks with my family (in my Ugg boots, I might add). The name Fancy Pants was born and so was my blog!
